A Divine Turn at OM Ashram
In OM Ashram, the Shiva temple was recently filled with joy. Women in beautiful, colorful clothes gathered to dance and sing, celebrating Parivartini Ekadashi—a very special day for Lord Vishnu.

The name "Parivartini" means "to turn over." On this day, it is believed that Lord Vishnu, who is in a state of yogic sleep (Yoga Nidra), changes his posture. This simple act brings fresh blessings and happiness to the world.

On this holy day, devotees who pray to Lord Vishnu are blessed with happiness, prosperity, and worldly pleasures.

It is also believed that people can be freed from the cycle of life and death and liberated from their difficult karmas.

This day also honors a famous story about Lord Vishnu when he came to Earth as a small boy named Vamana.

The Story of Vamana: There once was a kind and powerful demon king named Mahabali, who ruled over everything. Vamana visited the king and asked for a small gift: just three steps of land.

The king smiled and said yes. But then, Vamana grew incredibly big! With his "first step", he covered the whole Earth. With his "second step", he covered the entire sky. He then asked the king, "Where can I put my third step?"

King Mahabali knew he was in the presence of God. He bowed low and offered his head. Lord Vishnu was very happy with the king's good heart and blessed him.

The beautiful songs and dances in the temple on this auspicious day tell this wonderful story. It is a celebration of faith, devotion, and joy. Hari OM
