A Sacred Homecoming: Gurudev Blesses the New Maheshwar Mahadev Mandir
Our beloved Gurudev, His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramahansa Shree Swami Maheshwarananda Puri Ji Maharaj, recently returned to his birthplace, the village of Rupawas.

This visit was especially significant as he went to see the newly consecrated Shree Maheshwar Mahadev Mandir.

Rupawas is where Gurudev’s spiritual journey began. As a young boy, he dedicated his life to studying the Vedas and the path of yoga.

While walking through the temple grounds, he shared memories of his childhood. In those days, the village was a quiet, traditional place.

He lived there with his elder sister to attend school and studied with the respected Sanskrit scholar, Shree Gisa Ram Ji Ghanchi.

After that, Vishwaguru Ji received spiritual guidance from his beloved Master, Paramhans Shree Swami Madhavanandpuri Ji Maharaj. His Gurudev helped shape him into the global Master he is today.

Eventually, Vishwaguru Ji founded the "Yoga in Daily Life" Association worldwide and the incredible OM Ashram in Jadan.

Gurudev built the new Maheshwar Mahadev Mandir as a gift to his home village. The name "Maheshwar" honors Lord Shiva as the Great Lord and the source of divine liberation.

The temple is a stunning sight, with the names of the temple and our beloved Gurudev beautifully carved into the stones. These carvings symbolize the eternal bond between our beloved Guru and his birthplace.

Following the temple's opening at the beginning of December 2025, this was Gurudev’s first official visit.

For the rural community of Rupawas, the temple is more than just a building; it is a spiritual heart that brings people together in peace.

By building this temple, Gurudev has brought a light of wisdom to his native land.

The visit was a joyous celebration, marking the return of a local boy as a world-renowned Master, coming home.
May Gurudev bless this community and each visitor of this beautiful Shiva temple.
