Chanting the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra
The spiritual energy at OM Ashram reached great heights. With the divine blessings of His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramahansa Shree Swami Maheshwarananda Puri Ji Maharaj, the sacred Mahamrityunjaya Mahayajna continued.
The grand ceremony was initiated by his successor, Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Shree Swami Avatar Puri Ji Maharaj.

Pujya Maharaj Ji performed symbolic gestures to focus the healing energy.
The Power of the Mantra
The ritual centered on the ancient Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra from the Rig Veda. During this sacred "Anusthan," the powerful prayer was chanted exactly 125,000 times.

The group sat in deep focus, harmonizing their breath and movements with the ancient chants.
Parikrama
Walking around the yagya shala (fire temple) after the chanting was a practice that helped absorb the energy of the great mantra.

Devotees followed Pujya Maharaj Ji in a walking meditation around the yagya shala.
Daily Offerings
The continuous chanting, combined with offerings of ghee and herbs into the fire, created a spiritual shield. These vibrations were intended to protect against misfortune and bring healing energy to all.

Swami Ramanand Puri Ji led the daily offerings at the central dhuni of the yagya shala.
Healing Vibrations
As the Mahayajna progressed from the second to the sixth day, the atmosphere was filled with high vibrations.

Dattatreya, dedicated bhakta of Vishwaguru Ji, worshipped the deity with personal prayers and puja.
These days of the Mahayajna were focused on "burning" old karmas and neutralizing negative emotions like fear and sadness.

Swami Yogesh Puri Ji honored the pandits for their tireless chanting and dedication to the ritual.
It was a beautiful sight to see the community come together in such deep devotion.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
