Day 2: Sacred Purification of Panch Dhuni Tapasya at OM Ashram

With the divine blessings of Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramahansa Shree Swami Maheshwarananda Puri Ji Maharaj, the rare spiritual journey at OM Ashram continues. His successor, Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avatar Puri Ji Maharaj, has successfully completed the second day of the sacred Panch Dhuni Tapasya.

This ritual is a deep purification using the power of five sacred fires. According to Vedic knowledge, the five Dhunies (fireplaces) are placed in a perfect circle. Each represents a specific direction and holds a special spiritual meaning.

After prayers to the deities and the great Masters of the Shree Alakh Puri Ji Siddhapeeth Parampara, the fire is lit. The first hearth, in the North, is Surya Agni (Sun Fire). It represents spiritual knowledge and the vital energy necessary for life and growth.

In the East, Pujya Maharaj Ji pays homage to Chandra Agni (Moon Fire). This fire provides a cooling, peaceful energy to balance the intense heat, soothing the emotions and the mind.

Once the fires are lit, Pujya Maharaj Ji sits in the center and immerses himself in deep meditation.

Facing North, he is flanked by the Sun and Moon fires. To the South is the Agni Kona. Centered in the human Manipura Chakra, this "Pure Fire" regulates body warmth and burns away negative karma.

In the West burns Guru Agni, representing the Satguru’s guidance. It signifies the flame of knowledge ignited within the disciple. Devotees bow here, seeking the strength to overcome life's obstacles.

Finally, the center fire, Ishana, represents Divine Truth—the all-pervading witness residing in the upward direction.

As the sun shines like a white ball of fire above, the five dhunies unite. This powerful alignment brings peace and blessings to all. Through Agni, the body and mind are renewed.

May this sacred Tapasya bring healing and peace to the entire world.
