Guru Purnima - A Night of Satsang and Renewal
Guru Purnima is our spiritual new year. It's a time to check in with ourselves and with our Guru. We looked back on the past year—our successes and our struggles. Then, we renewed our saṅkalpa (a sacred promise) for the year to come. We promised to go deeper into our spiritual practice and to leave behind things like anger and greed.

As the old teaching says, “Chetan kāchilka Śrī Dev”—the light of the soul shines through the Guru’s eyes. To connect with that light is a true blessing.

Singing bhajans all night helps us turn our attention inward. The Guru is our guide on this inner journey.

Our night ended with a final prayer as the sun began to rise, starting our new spiritual year with peace and a clear heart. May the light of your Guru always guide you toward wisdom and peace. Happy Guru Purnima!
