Vaishakha Purnima at OM Ashram

With the divine blessings of Shree Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda Ji, our beloved Gurudev, a special Puja was performed on the auspicious occasion of Vaishakha Purnima.

More than 1,300 devotees gathered at OM Ashram to celebrate this sacred event and receive the divine darshan of the Dwadash Jyotirlinga in the beautifully sanctified Shiva Temple.

This year’s Vaishakha Purnima was uniquely powerful—it fell on a Monday, the day of Lord Shiva, and brought together the celebrations of Buddha Jayanti and Kurma Jayanti, all on the same sacred full moon night.

Vaishakha Purnima: A day symbolizing enlightenment, divine intervention, and cosmic harmony. It invites us to reflect inwardly and strengthen our spiritual connection.

Buddha Jayanti: Honoring the birth of Gautama Buddha, born as Siddhartha Gautama, the enlightened teacher and founder of Buddhism. It is believed he attained enlightenment on this very day.

Kurma Jayanti: Celebrating the second incarnation of Lord Vishnu—the Kurma Avatar. During the churning of the cosmic ocean (Samudra Manthan), when Mount Mandarachal began to sink, Lord Vishnu appeared as a giant turtle and supported it on His back. This act enabled the gods and demons to obtain the immortal nectar (Amrit).

The celebration concluded with the powerful recitation of the Rudra Shiva Stotram and Vedic mantras, offered at the lotus feet of Gurudev, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations and deep devotion. Hari OM
