OM Ashram Shines Bright for Diwali
OM Ashram glowed with light as our community came together to celebrate Diwali, the beautiful Festival of Lights.
It was a special blessing to celebrate with our beloved Gurudev, His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramahansa Shree Swami Maheshwarananda Puri Ji Maharaj.

The day was filled with satsang, beautiful lights, and a festive atmosphere.

This ancient festival celebrates the victory of light over darkness. We honored this by lighting countless diyas (lamps) and remembering the story of Lord Rama’s return to his kingdom.

Each flame is a symbol of hope, a reminder that goodness and light will always prevail.

For our divine lineage (Parampara), Diwali has a very special meaning. This holy day is when our beloved Satguru, Shree Deep Narayan Mahaprabhu Ji Bhagwan, was born on Earth. His birth took place at the sacred hour of brahma muhurta on November 8, 1828.

Just before Shree Deep Narayan Mahaprabhu Ji Bhagwan was born, his mother, Shreemati Chandan Devi Ji, had a divine dream.

In her divine vision, she saw an incredible scene. First, Lord Vishnu appeared on his white elephant, Erawat. He held his sacred symbols: the conch, disc, club, and lotus.

Next, she saw Lord Shiva riding his bull, Nandi, with the holy Ganga river flowing from his hair. Finally, at the very moment of his birth, Mahaprabhu Ji appeared to her as the Divine Child, Krishna.

During our satsang, we shared stories of the miracles that marked his birth—how oil lamps in the village lit by themselves and white flowers fell from the sky. This powerful history makes our celebration even more profound.

The lamp lighting ceremony was beautiful and moving. Seeing the ashram lit by hundreds of flickering flames brought a feeling of deep peace and unity to everyone.

Thank you to all who joined us in filling our sacred space and our hearts with light and happiness.

May this light continue to shine in all of us. Hari OM
