The Indian Army Corps of Engineers is a branch of the Indian Army responsible for providing military engineering support to the Indian Armed Forces. It was formed in 1780 and is one of the oldest and largest arms of the Indian Army. The Corps of Engineers has a wide range of responsibilities, including the construction of roads, bridges, airfields, and defensive fortifications. They also provide technical advice to the Indian Army on matters such as water supply, drainage, and sanitation.

The Corps of Engineers is divided into several units, including the Border Roads Organisation, Military Engineering Services, and the Survey of India. These units work together to support the Indian Army in its various operations, including combat, peacekeeping, disaster relief, and humanitarian assistance.

Overall, the Indian Army Corps of Engineers plays a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of the Indian Armed Forces and supporting the nation's infrastructure development.
